Where are you from?

I am from Tokyo, Japan. I was raised in county side near Kyoto and
moved to Tokyo when I entered college. I’ve lived in Tokyo for about
15 years since then.

How did you end up at ID? Where were you before?

I started my business career first as a strategic planner and then
brand consultant and researcher in advertising agency in Japan. For
couple of years before I came to ID, I was in a team that try to start
up innovation design consulting business in my company.

Tell us quickly about a project that you’re working on now that you’re really excited about.

Besides my job in company, I also work on my own project using week
end time. Currently, I am working on Idea Camp project, which enables
people do idea generation workshop outside of workplace.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love everything about traveling, such as riding a bicycle, driving a
car, travel, air flight, business trip,  moving… everything.

What would you do with 20 million dollars?

Invest three small companies who have a great Japanese craftsmanship,
and help them go for global market.

What super-power would you most like to have, and why?

Being able to nap anywhere anytime, because having nap is good for
creativity. Besides Idea Camp project, my next project might be
Idea-Napping.
